Here at Liberty, we have an exciting teen program called PROTEENS. On this page you will find pictures of our various events. We might be at a youth rally one weekend and the next we might be at the mall, but everything we do is aimed at having fun and bringing glory to the Lord!!!

What is Proteens?

Proteens is a Bible program for 7th to 12th grade youth. It is designed to produce mature, Godly teens with a passion for God and a burden for souls. Let's look at each part of that definition closely so that we can discover the heart of Proteens.

   A Bible program- a Bible focused heart (Col. 2:7,3:16)

Proteens is firmly committed to the rooted and rich terms in the above verses. At the heart of all of the materials of Proteens is the conviction that the answer to all of your spiritual problems lies in the inexhaustable riches of God's Word (Psalm 119:9, 11). It is not recreation and activity that transforms. It is the word of God.

 To produce mature Godly youth- a discipleship heart

We want to see you all grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Proteens is a challenging program designed to bring spiritual maturity to a spiritually minded teenager. This program requires Bible study, at-home research, daily devotions, reading Christian books and scripture memory. Get ready to do some work for God!

We believe that Proteens can help to develope the five characteristics that mark a spirtually mature youth group.

1. Salvation - John 3:16

2. Student of the Word - Joshua 1:8

3. Soul Burdened - Acts 1:8

4. Servant's Heart - Matthew 20:26-28

5. Separated and Surrendered to Christian Service - Proverbs 3:6

 A passion for God - a heart for God

The heart of Proteens is to bring you guys face to face (Ps. 78: 4-6) with :

- the Word  of God (His living and written form)

- the Wonders of God (His names and His attributes)

- the Works of God (His providence)

A burden for souls - a heart for eternal souls

We will also seek to develope a burden for souls in the hearts of you all. Modern missions IS youth! Seeds of the missions need to be planted in each of your hearts so that hopefully we can see some missionaries leave Liberty Baptist Church !
